Who We Are
We at Tophanet align our work according to three thematic areas.
Access to Care, Treatment and Support services including Prevention (ACTS)

a) Prevention activities include; awareness creation by promotion of ABC strategy, participation in public functions like World AIDS Day, Barazas, Women’s day, National TB Day-by giving testimonies, HCT( MOONLIGHT HCTs targeting Commercial sex workers, MSM and truck drivers who are always available in the night hours) and encouraging behavioural change among key populations.
b) Supportive care is given through Moonlight outreaches, Home visits of the affected and infected members.
c) Treatment is given through referrals to AIDS service organizations, however we offer peer support in drug adherence and positive living.
Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) including Maternal Health
Strategies in this thematic area are aimed at addressing STI and Reproductive health Rights concerns such as safer sex, correct and consistent condom use, right to medication without discrimination and stigmatization, Elimination of Mother to Child Transmission and Gender based violence in HIV/AIDS families. This is done through workshops, community meetings and community dialogues / moonlight HCT.
Advocacy for policy change on issues that impact on lives of people living with HIV
Participation and presentation of HIV/AIDS issues during district planning meetings, in monitoring and evaluation and giving feedback, lobbying during various foras and community interventions concerning PLHIVs.

NGO Registration Certificate
We are very proud to share our official community based organisation registration certificate.
This current certificate was obtained from the Tororo District NGO Monitoring Committee in January 2023.
It is not easy to obtain this certificate. We underwent a re-registration process with local government and had to pay out of our own community members pockets.
We strive to build TOFPHANET into a self-sustaining organisation that meets all conditions listed on the registration certficate.
